Founded in Omaha in 2011 by a guy who grew up here, knows these neighborhoods, and got tired of watching national chains overcharge local homeowners. We live here. We work here. We answer the phone.
How We Started
In the winter of 2010, Dale Kowalski was working for a national garage door chain when he was dispatched to a home in Dundee. The homeowner, a retired teacher on a fixed income, had a broken torsion spring. Straightforward $200 job.
The quote Dale was required to give her: $480. He handed in his resignation the same week. By February 2011, GarageDoor-omaha was open for business.
Thirteen years later, we've fixed more than 3,800 garage doors across Greater Omaha. We've never run a bait-and-switch. We still do flat-rate pricing. And we still answer the phone in 2 rings.

Dale Kowalski
Founder & Lead Technician
Born and raised in Midtown Omaha, Dale worked for a national chain for 8 years before starting GarageDoor-omaha in 2011. He got tired of customers being quoted $500 for a $150 spring job. His philosophy: flat-rate pricing, fast arrival, honest work. Dale personally trained every technician on our team.
Marcus Webb
Senior Technician, West Omaha & Elkhorn
Marcus has been with GarageDoor-omaha since 2014. He specializes in the newer West Omaha and Elkhorn construction, LiftMaster MyQ systems, torsion spring replacements on 3-car attached garages, and smart opener upgrades. He's completed over 1,200 service calls in the western suburbs.
Tina Sorenson
Technician, South Omaha & Bellevue
Tina joined us in 2017 after completing a mechanical trades apprenticeship. She's one of the few female garage door technicians in the state and has built a loyal following in South Omaha and Bellevue. Her specialty: panel replacement and door realignment on the 1970s ranches common in South Omaha.
